Condiciones generales / Terms
1) FECHA DE CELEBRACIÓN
The 24th edition of the Alicante Film Festival will be from 24 to April 30, 2027 and will be open to filmmakers worldwide
2) CONDICIONES
Fiction, animation short films with a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
Entries must have completed production after January 1, 2025
3) INSCRIPCIÓN Y TASAS
La tasa de inscripción dependerá de la fecha en la que se formalice la inscripción.

ALICANTE CINEMA (Producidos en la provincia de Alicante) INSCRIPCIÓN
Sección destinada a cortometrajes de ficción producidos en la provincia de Alicante.

REGISTRATION AND FEES
Registration can done by sending your film online Movibeta and it will end on february 28, 2027.
The registration fee will depend on the date of submission.

4) MATERIAL DE LAS PELÍCULAS SELECCIONADAS
Los cortometrajes seleccionados para la Sección Oficial deberán enviar a la organización, antes del 28 de marzo de 2027, una copia de exhibición en los siguientes formatos:
Los archivos podrán enviarse mediante WeTransfer, Dropbox o un sistema equivalente de descarga, al correo electrónico: info@festivaldealicante.com
Todos los cortometrajes cuyos diálogos originales no estén en español deberán presentarse con subtítulos en español. Los trabajos que no cumplan este requisito podrán ser excluidos de la competición.
MATERIAL FOR SELECTED FILMS
Short films selected for the Official Section must send the Festival, before March 28, 2027, a screening copy in the following formats:

All films whose original dialogue is not in Spanish must be submitted with Spanish subtitles. Films that do not meet this requirement may be excluded from the competition.
5) DERECHOS DE DIFUSIÓN Y MATERIAL PROMOCIONAL
La participación en el Festival implica la autorización por parte de los titulares de la obra para que la organización pueda utilizar, reproducir y difundir fragmentos, fotografías, fotogramas, cartel, tráiler y demás materiales promocionales facilitados con motivo de la inscripción.
Estos materiales podrán utilizarse exclusivamente para la promoción, comunicación, difusión y documentación del Festival, incluyendo su página web, redes sociales, medios de comunicación, publicaciones y materiales relacionados con la celebración de la presente edición.
La organización podrá conservar dichos materiales en su archivo histórico y documental.
La presente autorización no implica la cesión de los derechos de explotación de la película fuera del ámbito y finalidades propias del Festival.
PROMOTIONAL AND SCREENING RIGHTS
Participation in the Festival authorizes the organization to use, reproduce and disseminate excerpts, photographs, stills, posters, trailers and other promotional materials provided as part of the submission.
These materials may be used exclusively for the promotion, communication, dissemination and documentation of the Festival, including its website, social media, press coverage, publications and materials related to the current edition.
The Festival may retain these materials in its historical and documentary archive.
This authorization does not constitute a transfer of the film’s exploitation rights beyond the purposes and activities of the Festival.
6) USO DE LA IA
No se admiten obras donde la IA genere de forma predominante imágenes en movimiento, guion, diálogos/voces sintéticas o montaje automático.
Los participantes están obligados a declarar expresamente si han utilizado IA en cualquier fase.
El uso de IA no declarado puede dar lugar a descalificación
USE OF AI
Works in which AI predominantly generates moving images, the script, dialogue/synthetic voices, or automated editing are not accepted.
Participants are required to expressly declare whether they have used AI at any stage.
Undeclared use of AI may result in disqualification.
7) SECCIONES
El Festival contará con las siguientes secciones competitivas:

Sección competitiva destinada a cortometrajes de ficción producidos en España.
CORTOMETRAJES DE ANIMACIÓN ESPAÑOLA
Sección competitiva destinada a cortometrajes de animación producidos en España.
CORTOMETRAJES DOCUMENTALES ESPAÑOLES
Sección competitiva destinada a cortometrajes documentales producidos en España.
CORTOMETRAJES DE FICCIÓN INTERNACIONAL
Sección competitiva destinada a cortometrajes de ficción producidos fuera de España.
CORTOMETRAJES DE FICCIÓN INTERNACIONAL LGTBI+
Sección competitiva destinada a cortometrajes internacionales de ficción cuya temática esté vinculada al colectivo LGTBI+.
ALICANTE CINEMA
Sección destinada a cortometrajes de ficción producidos en la provincia de Alicante.
SCREENING
The Festival will include the following competitive sections:
SPANISH FICTION SHORT FILMS
Competitive section for fiction short films produced in Spain.
SPANISH ANIMATION SHORT FILMS
Competitive section for animation short films produced in Spain.
SPANISH DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILMS
Competitive section for documentary short films produced in Spain.
INTERNATIONAL FICTION SHORT FILMS
Competitive section for fiction short films produced outside Spain.
INTERNATIONAL LGTBI+ FICTION SHORT FILMS
Competitive section for international fiction short films addressing LGTBI+ themes.
ALICANTE CINEMA
Section for fiction short films produced in the province of Alicante.
8) EXHIBICIÓN
La organización del Festival establecerá las fechas, horarios y orden de exhibición de las películas seleccionadas.
Las películas seleccionadas se proyectarán dentro de las actividades oficiales del 24.º Festival Internacional de Cine de Alicante, sin perjuicio de las actividades promocionales y de comunicación vinculadas al Festival.
La participación implica el compromiso de los titulares de la obra de mantenerla disponible para su exhibición durante las fechas del Festival.
El Jurado Oficial, compuesto por profesionales y personalidades vinculadas al sector cinematográfico y audiovisual, será el encargado de valorar las películas y otorgar los premios establecidos en estas bases. Los miembros del Jurado actuarán con independencia y sus decisiones serán inapelables.
SCREENINGS
The Festival organization will determine the dates, screening times and order of the selected films.
Selected films will be screened as part of the official activities of the 24th Alicante International Film Festival, without prejudice to promotional and communication activities related to the Festival.
Participation implies the commitment of the rights holders to keep the film available for screening during the Festival dates.
The Official Jury, composed of professionals and personalities from the film and audiovisual industries, will evaluate the films and award the prizes established in these Regulations. The Jury will act independently and its decisions will be final and not subject to appeal.

10) UTILIZACIÓN DEL PREMIO Y MARCA DEL FESTIVAL
Los cortometrajes premiados deberán incluir, en los materiales promocionales y de exhibición posteriores al Festival cuando proceda, una referencia al premio obtenido en el 24.º Festival Internacional de Cine de Alicante.
La referencia deberá incluir la denominación del premio y la imagen corporativa oficial del Festival, compuesta por su nombre y logotipo.
La organización facilitará a los premiados los elementos gráficos oficiales necesarios para su correcta utilización.
USE OF FESTIVAL AWARD AND BRANDING
Award-winning films must include, where applicable, a reference to the award received at the 24th Alicante International Film Festival in promotional and screening materials used after the Festival.
The reference must include the name of the award and the Festival’s official corporate identity, including its name and logo.
The Festival will provide award recipients with the official graphic materials required for their correct use.
11) ENTREGA DE PREMIOS
Los premios serán entregados durante la Gala de Clausura del 24.º Festival Internacional de Cine de Alicante, que tendrá lugar el 30 de abril de 2027.
Los premios económicos se abonarán mediante transferencia bancaria a la entidad o persona que corresponda. Los pagos estarán sujetos a las retenciones fiscales establecidas por la legislación vigente.
AWARDS CEREMONY
The decisions of the Official Jury will be final and not subject to appeal.
The awards will be presented during the Closing Gala of the 24th Alicante International Film Festival, to be held on April 30, 2027.
Cash prizes will be paid by bank transfer to the corresponding person or entity once all necessary administrative and tax documentation has been provided.
12) ACEPTACIÓN DEL REGLAMENTO
La inscripción y participación en el 24.º Festival Internacional de Cine de Alicante implica la aceptación íntegra de este Reglamento.
La persona o entidad que realice la inscripción declara disponer de los derechos y autorizaciones necesarios para presentar la obra al Festival y para permitir su exhibición en el marco del mismo.
La participación en el Festival implica asimismo la aceptación de las decisiones adoptadas por la organización en relación con la selección, programación y exhibición de las obras.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
Registration and participation in the 24th Alicante International Film Festival implies the full acceptance of these Regulations.
The person or entity submitting the film declares that they hold the necessary rights and authorizations to submit the work to the Festival and to authorize its screening as part of the Festival.
Participation in the Festival also implies acceptance of the decisions made by the organization regarding the selection, programming and screening of films.
